First things, first. Where will the work be hung? If you have this information, please provide a few photos (even from your mobile) of the space that is well-lit and gives context to the size of the space.

Is this a request for one piece or a series to be hung together? It’s helpful to know because I can work on the pieces concurrently to match color palettes and they feel like they belong together once finished. And I can give you a more accurate quote for the deposit.

What colors do you like? More importantly, which ones don’t you like? Which will or will not work with the space? Is there a piece you saw on my website or social media that you would like something similar? How about style (smooth or textured)? The more you’re able to share with me from the start, the better I can understand and propose an agreement. 

Requesting an original work of art isn’t simply buying art materials off the shelf. You’re asking for a collaboration where you’re able to voice your desires and emotion. It’s a rewarding process that will enhance your appreciation and enjoyment of the final outcome.

However, for this to be as exciting as I know it can be, there are mutual responsibilities that must be met in order to deliver what you want and on time.

Commissions typically take between 3 to 5 weeks from the moment we have a signed agreement. A non-refundable overhead deposit is all that’s needed to get started.

I will periodically send process photos and videos to gather feedback of the direction of the piece(s). This of course, will have an additional impact to the timeline.

Once you’re satisfied with the final photos and/or video of the pieces, digital mockups with the space you provided and a final invoice via Stripe to cover the remaining balance will be sent. As soon as the payment is made, your piece(s) will ship within two business days.

You will have an additional 21 days to return the work in the same condition, if not fully satisfied, free of charge.
